Quality Service
Regardless of how often you drive, it doesn’t take long before you get to know your car, truck, SUV or minivan. There is a feeling about how it handles, how it turns, how it accelerates, slows, and stops. The same is true of your brake system. It can be a sound, a vibration, brake response time, or a change in stopping distance; any number of things can give you a clue if you have brake problems.
When you have that concern, your first stop should be Quality Buick GMC where our expert technicians will hear what you have to say about the problem and inspect your brakes to arrive at a well-informed brake diagnosis. Once they know what’s wrong, they will provide an estimate on the cost of repair.
Brake Services Offered by Quality Buick GMC
At Quality Buick GMC we offer several services for your brake system to ensure your brakes continue to work well.
- Inspection: This is the first step when you bring your vehicle in for service. Our technicians will do a thorough inspection of your brakes system based on your complaints and descriptions of the problem you’ve reported.
- Pad Replacement: Most vehicles today are equipped with a disc brake system. This type of system relies on brake fluid in hoses and lines that create hydraulic pressure when you apply your brakes. This in turn causes your brake pads to grip onto a disc that will slow and stop the vehicle. This friction force eventually causes your brake pads to wear out and they will need to be replaced.
- Rotor Service: This service completes your pad replacement, as the technicians will check the rotors to see if the worn-out pads have caused any damage. If they have, they will smooth out the rotors for better grip.
- Shoe Replacement: The drum brake system uses a drum and shoes. This service does that same as a pad replacement.
- Drum Service: Like rotor service in disc systems only for drum systems.
- Fluid Service: Ensures that your brakes have proper fluid levels to function properly. Also replaces old fluid with new fluid if needed and also repairs fluid leaks.
- Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Service: If your ABS light is on or flashing or you get other ABS warnings, this service fixes everything from sensors to the computer module.
- Other Brake Repairs: Repair services to all parts of your brake system not listed above.
